Information used by this website
The site does not offer accounts or email subscriptions. Do not enter payment details or sensitive personal information in a name field or gift note.
- The name, number, colours, pattern and extras you enter in the personaliser.
- The designs and optional gift notes you add to your bag.
- Technical request information, such as the page requested, browser information and IP address, which can be processed by the server serving the website.
Why this information is used
Your design choices are used to display the holder you have requested and remember items in your bag. When you choose to check out, the site sends your bag to its own checkout endpoint, which creates a Shopify checkout containing the selected personalisation and gift notes.
The site does not use your personalisation for advertising or automated profiling. It does not sell personal information. Details you enter at checkout, such as your name, delivery address, email address and payment details, are collected by Shopify and its payment providers to take payment, fulfil your order and provide support. Payment card details are entered on Shopify’s checkout and are not seen or stored by this website.
What is stored on your device
The bag is saved in local storage in this browser. Your current design is saved in session storage so you can visit another page without losing it. Session storage normally ends when you close the tab; the bag remains until you remove its contents or clear site data.
Gift notes are saved with bag items and the current design on this device. They are not included in share links.
Hosting and checkout services
The site loads its product models and fonts from the same website. No third-party advertising pixels, analytics scripts or marketing embeds are enabled.
Vercel hosts this website. Shopify provides checkout and processes orders. Checkout information is shared with Shopify to provide that service; Shopify’s own privacy policy explains how it handles information, including international transfers.
Keeping and deleting information
You can remove bag items individually or clear all saved bag and design data from the cookie policy page. Browser history and links you have shared must be deleted separately where they are held.
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil and support your order and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Website hosting logs are retained by Vercel under its own settings. Contact us if you want to ask what we hold about you.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. For privacy questions, email bootdock.support@gmail.com. You can also write to us at Little Ennochie Mill, Finzean, Banchory, AB31 6LX, United Kingdom.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the site’s use of information changes. The date above identifies this version. Please check it again before placing an order.
